Monticello

Monticello is the county seat of Jefferson County.  Named after Thomas Jefferson's Virginia estate, Monticello is conveniently located 26 miles east of Tallahassee.  It is home to several historic sites, including the Monticello Old Jail Museum and the Perkins Opera House.
